Condenser end difference
The difference between the saturation temperature under the condenser pressure and the condenser cooling water outlet temperature is called the end difference.
For a certain condenser, the end difference is related to the inlet temperature of condenser cooling water, steam load per unit area of condenser, surface cleanliness of condenser copper pipe, air leakage in condenser and flow rate of cooling water in pipe. A clean condenser has a certain end difference index under a certain circulating water temperature, circulating water volume and unit steam load. Generally, when the circulating water volume increases, the lower the cooling water outlet temperature, the greater the end difference, and vice versa; The greater the unit steam load, the greater the end difference, and vice versa. In actual operation, if the end difference is much higher than the end difference index value, it indicates that the copper pipe on the cooling surface of the condenser is dirty, resulting in the deterioration of heat conduction conditions.
The reasons for the increase of end difference are: ① scaling on the water side or steam side of condenser copper pipe; ② Air leakage at steam side of condenser; ③ The cooling water pipe is blocked; ④ Reduction of cooling water, etc.
